Pumpkin Dosa

Ingredients

  • 200 gms Boiled Rice
  • 200 gms Raw Rice
  • 2 small pieces Pumpkin
  • Salt to taste
  1. Preparation

    • Soak boiled rice and raw rice separately in water for about 4 hours.
    • Peel the pumpkin and cut it into small pieces.
  2. Grinding the Batter

    • Grind the pumpkin pieces first into a smooth paste.
    • Add soaked rice and grind together to form a smooth dosa batter.
    • Add salt and mix well.
  3. Fermentation (Optional)

    • Allow the batter to rest for 6–8 hours or overnight for better flavor (optional).
  4. Making the Dosa

    • Heat a dosa tawa and lightly grease it.
    • Pour a ladleful of batter and spread into a thin circle.
    • Cook until crisp and golden on one side, then flip if needed.
  5. Serving

    • Serve hot with chutney or sambar.

Serving Suggestion

Pumpkin Dosa tastes great with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, or sambar for breakfast.
