Musti Dosa

A soft, fluffy, and mildly tangy dosa made from a coconut-rich fermented batter.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups raw rice
  2. 1/2 cup urad dal
  3. 1 tbsp methi seeds
  4. 1 cup poha
  5. 1/2 cup fresh grated coconut
  6. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Batter

    • Soak rice, urad dal, and methi seeds together for 2 hours.
    • Grind them with grated coconut.
    • When half-ground, add washed and soaked poha.
    • Grind again to a fine, thick batter.
  2. Fermentation

    • Add salt and mix well.
    • Keep the batter aside for 6–8 hours to ferment.
  3. Make the Dosa

    • Preheat a non-stick tawa and pour a ladle of batter.
    • Spread to medium thickness.
    • Cook on one side only until done.
    • Serve hot with onion coconut chutney.
