Mixed Dal Dosa
A protein-rich, crispy, and flavorful dosa made by blending rice with a mix of dals.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice
- 1/3 cup each yellow moong dal, channa dal, urad dal
- 2 tbsp curds
- 1/2 tsp soda bicarb
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Oil for shallow frying
Instructions

Soak the ingredients
- Wash rice separately.
- Wash all dals together.
- Soak both in plenty of water for 5–6 hours.

Prepare the batter
- Wet grind the rice until a semolina-like texture is achieved.
- Wet grind the dal mixture until fine.
- Mix both batters together.
- Add curds, salt, soda bicarb, and oil.
- Mix well until the batter becomes light and fluffy.
- Set aside for 3–4 hours to rest.

Make the dosa
- Heat a griddle and pour a ladle of batter.
- Spread into a thin or thick dosa as preferred.
- Shallow fry with little oil until crisp and golden.
- Serve hot with chutney.
