Marble Cake
A soft and buttery eggless marble cake with beautiful swirls of vanilla and chocolate in every slice. Perfect for tea-time or as a simple dessert.

Ingredients
- 120 g Butter (melted)
- 160 g Sugar
- 200 g Flour
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 60 g Cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- 1/2 cup Thick Curd (yogurt) or 1/2 cup Condensed Milk (egg substitute)
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Grease and line an 8-inch baking tin.

Prepare Dry Ingredients
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Sieve to ensure there are no lumps.

Make the Base Batter
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and vanilla essence until smooth.
- Add curd (or condensed milk) and mix well.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
- Add the flour mixture and milk alternately into the wet mixture.
- Mix gently to form a smooth, lump-free batter.

Create Two Batters
- Divide the batter into two equal portions.
- Add cocoa powder to one portion and mix well to form the chocolate batter.

Layering for Marble Effect
- Pour a layer of vanilla batter into the prepared tin.
- Add a layer of chocolate batter.
- Repeat alternating layers.
- Gently swirl with a knife to create a marble pattern.

Baking
- Bake at 180°C for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cooling & Serving
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Demould, slice, and serve.
