Pavta Patties
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup Lima Beans, soaked overnight
- 2 medium-sized Potatoes, boiled, peeled, and mashed
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Cayenne Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 4 tsp Flour (for coating)
- 5 tbsp Oil (for shallow frying)

Preparation
- Boil the soaked lima beans in enough water until very soft.
- Drain and keep aside.
- Mash the boiled potatoes and set aside.

Making the Dough
- In a bowl, combine cooked beans, mashed potatoes, turmeric powder, cayenne powder, and garam masala.
- Knead well into a stiff dough.
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and flatten each slightly to form patties.

Frying the Patties
- Heat oil in a shallow frying pan on medium flame.
- Roll each patty lightly in flour.
- Shallow fry until golden brown and crisp on both sides.
- Drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

- Serve hot with tamarind chutney or green chutney as a snack or appetizer.
