Peanut Pakodi

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Peanuts
  • 1/4 cup Bengal Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 2 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds, crushed
  • 1 tbsp Oil (for coating)
  • A pinch Citric Acid
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • Oil for deep frying
  1. Preparation

    • In a bowl, mix all ingredients except peanuts to form a smooth batter.
    • Add peanuts to the mixture and coat them evenly.
  2. Frying

    • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium flame.
    • Drop spoonfuls of the coated peanuts into the hot oil.
    • Fry until they turn light brown and crisp.
    • Drain on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
    • Separate any peanuts stuck together.
  3. Serving & Storage

    • Serve hot as a snack.
    • Once cooled, store in an airtight container for later use.
