Milk Pudding
A soft, creamy, and comforting pudding made with milk, sago, and butter.

**Base Ingredients
- 2 oz rice sago
- 1 pint milk

**Flavour & Sweetness
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Pinch of salt

- 1/2 oz butter

**Prepare the sago
- Cover the sago with water and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Strain the water completely.

**Combine ingredients and soak
- Add the sago to a greased pie dish along with sugar, butter, salt, and milk.
- Let the mixture soak for 1 hour.

**Cook the pudding
- Stir well and cook slowly in a cool oven for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Adjust thickness by increasing or reducing the amount of sago as preferred.
- Optional: Add an egg—boil the sago in milk first, cool slightly, mix in the egg, and bake for 20 minutes.
