Milk Pudding

A soft, creamy, and comforting pudding made with milk, sago, and butter.

Ingredients

    • 2 oz rice sago
    • 1 pint milk
  2. **Flavour & Sweetness

    • 1 tbsp sugar
    • Pinch of salt
  3. **Richness

    • 1/2 oz butter

Instructions

  1. **Prepare the sago

    • Cover the sago with water and let it rest for 5 minutes.
    • Strain the water completely.
  2. **Combine ingredients and soak

    • Add the sago to a greased pie dish along with sugar, butter, salt, and milk.
    • Let the mixture soak for 1 hour.
  3. **Cook the pudding

    • Stir well and cook slowly in a cool oven for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    • Adjust thickness by increasing or reducing the amount of sago as preferred.
    • Optional: Add an egg—boil the sago in milk first, cool slightly, mix in the egg, and bake for 20 minutes.
