Makki Paneer Pakora
A delicious crispy snack made with sweet corn and paneer blended into a flavorful, creamy pakora mixture.
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
- Oil for deep frying
- 6 tbsp Bengal gram flour (besan)
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp ginger, chopped
- 2 tsp garlic, chopped
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 cup milk
- 1 3/4 tsp dry mango powder (amchur)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 100 g cottage cheese (paneer)
- 200 g fresh corn

Prepare the Base Mixture
- Crush the corn in a blender.
- Grate the cottage cheese (paneer).

Cook the Corn
- Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger and garlic.
- Stir-fry until light pink.
- Add crushed corn and sauté well.
- Add salt and mix.
- Pour in milk and cook until mixture turns creamy.
- When cooked, transfer to a plate and let it cool.

Mix the Ingredients
- Add grated paneer, chopped onion, chopped green chillies, cumin powder, amchur powder, and chopped coriander leaves to the cooled corn mixture.
- Adjust salt and mix well.
- Add besan for binding.
- If the mixture feels too thick, add a little milk.

Shape the Pakoras
- Make equal-sized balls using your hands or a spoon.

Fry the Pakoras
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Deep fry the pakoras on medium heat until golden brown.
- Remove and place on absorbent paper to drain extra oil.

- Serve hot.
