Paneer Bhare Papad

A quick and crunchy snack where crisp papads are filled with a spicy paneer stuffing and served fresh.

Ingredients

  1. 4 moongdal papads
  2. 1/2 cup cottage cheese grated (paneer)
  3. 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  4. 1 capsicum (finely chopped)
  5. 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
  6. 2 tblsp coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1 tsp chaat masala
  9. Oil for deep frying

Method

  1. **Preparing papads

    • Cut each papad into halves and keep ready.
  2. **Making the stuffing

    • In a bowl mix grated paneer, chopped onion, capsicum, green chillies, coriander leaves, salt, and chaat masala thoroughly.
  3. **Roasting papads

    • Roast the papads one piece at a time over flame till crisp.
  4. **Shaping

    • While the papads are still hot, gently roll them into 1/2 inch diameter cylinders.
  5. **Stuffing

    • Carefully spoon the prepared paneer mixture into the rolled papads.
  6. **Alternate frying method

    • Apply little milk or water over the papad.
    • Place stuffing on one side, roll tightly into a cylinder.
    • Deep fry in hot oil till crisp and golden.
  7. **Serving

    • Serve immediately as a crunchy starter or tea-time snack.
