Microwave Paneer Matar
A quick and delicious paneer–peas curry made effortlessly using the microwave.
Ingredients

**Main Ingredients
- 100 g paneer (grated)
- 1 cup shelled peas
- Cashewnuts (optional)
- Salt to taste

**Spices & Flavorings
- 1–2 green chillies
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2" ginger piece
- 6 tbsp tomato puree
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

**For Cooking
- 2 tbsp oil
- 6"-7" round microwave-safe dish (2" high) with cover

**Prepare the masala
- Grind onion, green chillies, and ginger together.
- Fry this paste in a non-stick pan for 4–5 minutes.

**Add spices and microwave
- Add tomato puree, garam masala, cumin powder, peas, and sprinkle 1 tbsp water.
- Transfer the mixture to a microwave-safe dish and cook on HIGH for 3 minutes.

**Add paneer and finish cooking
- Add salt, grated paneer, 5 tbsp water, and cashewnuts; mix gently.
- Cover and microwave again for 2 minutes, then let it stand for 2 minutes.
- Serve garnished with fresh coriander and green chilli.
