Plum Jam

Ingredients

  • 250 gms Plums
  • 250 gms Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Citric Acid
  • 3 cups Water
  1. Preparation

    • Wash the plums thoroughly and remove the seeds.
  2. Cooking the Plums

    • Cook the plums with water on low flame until tender.
    • Pass the cooked plums through a sieve to obtain a smooth pulp.
  3. Making the Jam

    • Add sugar and citric acid to the plum pulp.
    • Cook on low flame, stirring frequently, until the jam reaches the setting consistency.
  4. Cooling & Storage

    • Switch off the flame and allow the jam to cool slightly.
    • Pour into a clean, dry jar and seal tightly.
    • Store in a cool, dry place.
  5. Serving

    • Use as a spread for bread, toast, or crackers.
