Green All Purpose Chutney

A versatile and flavorful chutney made with green chillies, coriander, and a hint of jaggery — perfect as a dip, spread, or side.

Ingredients

  • 15 green chillies
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 tbsp sev or crushed potato wafers
  • 1/2 tsp jaggery
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 garlic clove

Method

  1. Add all the ingredients, except oil, to a small mixie jar.
  2. Heat oil, add a pinch of asafoetida, and then pour it into the mixie.
  3. Grind everything into a smooth chutney.
  4. Use little to no water while grinding to help the chutney last longer.
  5. Add water only as needed for consistency.
  6. Store in a clean glass bottle and refrigerate.

Note: Sev is a crispy fried Indian snack made from gram flour.
