Narkol Nadu
Traditional Bengali coconut sweet balls with a rich khoya filling.
Ingredients
- 1 coconut
- Raisins for decoration
- ½ cup milk solids (khoya/mawa)
- ¼ cup condensed milk
- ½ tsp green cardamom powder
- 3 tbsp milk powder
- ½ cup sugar

Prepare the coconut and khoya
- Grate the coconut and grind it without water.
- Knead the khoya well until smooth.
- Make pea-sized khoya balls and keep them aside.

Cook the coconut mixture
- Heat a kadhai on high flame and stir-fry the ground coconut.
- Add sugar and condensed milk and mix well.
- Cook until the mixture starts to dry slightly.
- Add milk powder and green cardamom powder.
- Keep stirring continuously to avoid sticking.

Shape the nadu
- When the mixture leaves the sides of the kadhai, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Divide into marble-sized portions.
- Insert one khoya ball inside each portion.
- Roll into smooth round balls.
- Decorate each nadu with a raisin.
