Mushroom Soup

A creamy, comforting, and flavorful soup made with sautéed mushrooms and mild seasonings.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups mushrooms
  2. 2 cups vegetable stock
  3. 1 cup milk
  4. 1/8 tsp black pepper
  5. 4 tbsp butter
  6. 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Mushrooms

    • Melt butter in a pan.
    • Add mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
  2. Prepare the Base

    • Add vegetable stock and increase the heat.
    • Bring the mixture to a boil.
    • Remove the mushroom mixture from heat.
  3. Combine and Cook

    • Gradually pour the hot mushroom mixture back into the pan, stirring constantly to avoid curdling.
    • Add milk, salt, and black pepper.
    • Reheat the soup uncovered, stirring continuously.
    • Ensure the soup does not boil.
  4. Serve

    • Serve the mushroom soup hot.
