Peas Soup
Ingredients
- 1 Onion
- 1/2 Tomato, pureed
- 3–4 Cloves Garlic
- 1/2-inch piece Ginger
- 1–2 Green Chilies
- 2 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
- Salt to taste
- Red Chili Powder to taste
- 3/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 3/4 tsp Garam Masala
- 2–3 tbsp Vegetable Oil or Ghee
- 1 cup Green Peas
- 250 gms Paneer

Preparation
- Cut paneer into cubes and fry until golden. Set aside.
- Make a paste of onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilies in a mixer or chopper.

Cooking the Soup Base
- Heat oil or ghee in a wok or kadhi.
- Add the onion-garlic-ginger-chili paste and fry until golden brown.
- Add salt, turmeric, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Fry for a minute.
- Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates from the mixture.

Cooking the Peas & Paneer
- Add 1 cup water and cook until slightly reduced.
- Add the fried paneer cubes and green peas.
- Add another cup of water, bring to a boil, then reduce the flame and simmer for 10 minutes.

Garnishing & Serving
- Sprinkle garam masala and chopped coriander leaves on top.
- Serve hot with paratha, roti, or rice.
