Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp lemon extract

Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Grease a cake tin with butter or oil and keep aside.

Mixing
- In a mixing bowl, add butter and sugar and mix well.
- Add eggs and beat until the mixture is smooth.
- Add buttermilk, vanilla extract, and lemon extract. Mix well.
- Add flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Mix until a smooth, lump-free batter is formed.

Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin.
- Bake at 325°F for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Slice and serve plain, with fruits, or frosted as desired.
