The story of a Blue Jackal

Once upon a time, in a dense forest, there lived a jackal named Chandarava. One day, he wandered into a nearby village in search of food, as he was starving.
As soon as the village dogs spotted him, they began barking and attacking him ferociously. Fearing for his life, the jackal ran as fast as he could, with the dogs chasing closely behind. In desperation, he leaped into the first hiding place he found—a large vat of blue dye in a washerman’s house.
When he finally climbed out, the dogs failed to recognize him. His fur was completely dyed blue, making him look like an unfamiliar and fearsome creature. Frightened by his new appearance, the dogs scattered in terror.
Realizing the advantage of his new look, Chandarava returned to the forest. The moment the other animals saw him, they too were terrified and fled. Sensing an opportunity, the jackal called out to them, "Do not be afraid! I have been sent by Lord Brahma himself to rule over the jungle. He has chosen me to be your king and to bring peace among all animals."
Hearing his words and seeing his strange, blue-colored appearance, the animals believed him. They gathered around him with respect and declared, "O Master, we are at your service. Please command us!"
Chandarava wasted no time assigning roles to the animals. The lions and tigers were ordered to hunt and bring him food, while the smaller animals served his other needs. However, he was careful to drive away all the other jackals, fearing that they would recognize him and expose his deception.
For a while, he ruled the jungle like a king, enjoying the luxuries of his new status. Every animal obeyed his commands, and there was peace in the forest.
However, one evening, a distant howl of a pack of jackals reached his ears. Unable to resist his natural instincts, Chandarava, overwhelmed with joy, lifted his head and howled back.
The moment the other animals heard this, they realized the truth—he was nothing but an ordinary jackal! They were enraged at being deceived.
"He has fooled us all this time!" they roared. "He must be punished!"
The furious animals surrounded him before he could escape. The lions, tigers, and other animals attacked him mercilessly, ending his reign once and for all.
Moral of the Story:
One who deceives and betrays his own kind will ultimately face a bitter end.
