Mustard Sauce

A tangy, creamy, and zesty sauce perfect for sandwiches, snacks, and marinades.

Ingredients

  1. 7 tsp salted butter
  2. 3 tsp flour
  3. 1 cup hot water
  4. 2 tsp brown sugar
  5. 6 tsp vinegar
  6. 9 tsp mustard powder
  7. 1/4 tsp red chili pepper
  8. 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base

    • Melt the butter in a pan.
    • Stir in the flour and mix well.
    • Cook gently without allowing the flour to brown.
  2. Thicken the Sauce

    • Add hot water slowly while stirring continuously.
    • Cook until the mixture thickens.
  3. Add Flavorings

    • Mix mustard powder with vinegar.
    • Add salt, red chili pepper, and brown sugar.
    • Stir this mixture into the thickened flour base and mix well.
  4. Store

    • Pour the sauce into a clean jar and store.
