Paneer Paratha

Ingredients

  • 100 gms Paneer (grated)
  • 1 Onion (finely chopped)
  • Coriander leaves (finely chopped)
  • Small piece of Ginger (grated)
  • 1–2 Green Chillies (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chilli Powder
  • Garam Masala as per taste
  • 1/2 tsp Ajwain (optional)
  • Butter or Oil for frying
  • Whole wheat flour (for dough)
  1. **Preparing the Dough

  2. Take whole wheat flour in a bowl.

  3. Add water gradually and knead into a soft dough, similar to roti or Paratha dough.

  4. Cover and keep aside for 15–20 minutes.

  5. **Preparing the Paneer Stuffing

  6. Take grated paneer in a mixing bowl.

  7. Add chopped onion, coriander leaves, grated ginger, and chopped green chillies.

  8. Add red chilli powder, garam masala, and ajwain.

  9. Mix everything well.

  10. Add salt only at the time of making Parathas to avoid moisture.

  11. **Shaping the Paratha

  12. Divide the dough into equal medium-sized balls.

  13. Roll two balls into small chapatis.

  14. Place paneer stuffing evenly on one chapati.

  15. Cover with the second chapati and seal the edges.

  16. Roll gently into a Paratha.

  17. **Cooking the Paratha

  18. Heat a tawa on medium flame.

  19. Place the rolled Paratha on the hot tawa.

  20. Cook until bubbles appear, then flip.

  21. Spread butter or oil on one side.

  22. Flip again, apply butter or oil on the other side, and cook on low heat.

  23. Cook until both sides are golden brown.

  24. **Serving

  25. Serve paneer Paratha hot.

  26. Enjoy with curd, pickle, or your favorite chutney.
