Masala Supari
Masala Supari is a fragrant, crunchy, spiced mouth freshener made with roasted betel nuts and aromatic spices.
**Ingredients
- Chickai supari – 125 g
- Poppy seeds – 4 tbsp
- Nutmeg powder – 1/4 tsp
- Pot masala – 1 tbsp
- Cloves – 8 to 10
- Coconut, scraped – 1/2 cup
- Bhardi supari – 250 g
- Green cardamoms – 8 to 10
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Fennel seeds – 1 cup

**Roast the ingredients
- Roast coconut, cardamoms, poppy seeds, cloves and fennel seeds separately

**Grind spices
- Grind cardamoms, poppy seeds, cloves and fennel seeds into a coarse powder

**Prepare the supari
- Break both types of supari into coarse pieces

**Fry the supari
- Heat ghee and fry the supari until golden

**Mix and finish
- Combine fried supari with ground spices, nutmeg powder, pot masala and coconut

**Cool and serve
- Allow it to cool completely before serving
