Instant Onion Rice

Ingredients

  • 4 big onions
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard seeds (for seasoning)

Method

  1. Heat oil in a pressure pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add onions and fry until they turn transparent.
  3. Add cardamom, chilli powder, salt, and rice along with two glasses of water.
  4. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes until the rice is done.
  5. Serve hot with aloo fry.
