Garlic Rice

A simple and aromatic rice dish flavored with golden garlic, green chilies, and crunchy nuts, perfect as a side or light meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 tsp crushed garlic
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 2 tbsp cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp slivered almonds
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh coriander
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a heavy wok.
  2. Add garlic and green chilies, and sauté until the garlic turns golden.
  3. Add cashew nuts and almonds, and roast for 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice, sprinkle salt and pepper, and mix well.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with raita, pickle, or any curry for a complete meal.
