Jaipur Ki Gajak
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup cashew nuts (halved)
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 200 gms sugar
- 2 tbsp pure ghee
Method
- Grease a tray with a little ghee and keep aside.
- Roast sesame seeds over low heat until lightly browned.
- Roast cashew nuts separately until golden brown.
- In a pan, combine sugar, remaining ghee, and 2 tbsp water.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring, until it forms a thick syrup.
- Remove from heat and stir in roasted sesame seeds and cashew nuts.
- Mix quickly and spread the mixture onto the greased tray.
- Level the surface with a spatula.
- While still warm, cut into desired shapes and sizes.
- Allow to cool completely, then separate the pieces.
- Serve or store in an airtight container.
