Kachumber Salad
Kachumber Salad is a simple, fresh, and crunchy Indian salad made with finely chopped cucumber, onion, tomato, and lettuce — seasoned with lemon juice, vinegar, and spices. It’s light, tangy, and the perfect side dish for any Indian meal.
Ingredients
For the Salad:
- ½ cucumber – peeled and finely chopped
- 2 onions – finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes – finely chopped
- ½ lettuce – chopped
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp vinegar
- ¼ tsp chili powder
- Salt and pepper – to taste

Prepare the Vegetables
- Wash all vegetables thoroughly under running water.
- Peel the cucumber and finely chop it.
- Finely chop the onions, tomatoes, and lettuce.
- Place all the chopped vegetables together in a large mixing bowl.

Make the Dressing
- In a small bowl, mix together Lime juice, Vinegar, Chili powder and Salt and pepper
- Stir well until all the seasonings are combined.

Combine and Toss
- Pour the prepared dressing over the chopped vegetables.
- Toss everything gently until the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing.
- Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if needed.

Serve
- Serve the Kachumber Salad immediately for a crunchy texture.
- Optionally, chill it for 10–15 minutes before serving for a refreshing flavor.
