Idli Upma

Ingredients

  • 3 left-over idlis
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp channa dal
  • 1 green chilli
  • 1 onion
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Crumble the left-over idlis.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal and channa dal.
  3. When they crackle and dal turns golden brown, add green chilli, onion and curry leaves.
  4. Sauté until the onion turns pink.
  5. Add salt, red chilli powder and the crumbled idlis.
  6. Mix well and serve hot.
