Aa Karala Ratri

Aa Karala Ratri is a Kannada psychological thriller set in a poor, isolated village in Karnataka during the 1980s. Muthanna and his wife struggle to survive in a small hut, while their teenage daughter Mallika lives in constant fear of being sold off to settle debts. One day a blind fortune‑teller visits them and prophesies that their fortune will change overnight, filling the family with a mix of hope and dread. On the very same day, a mysterious, well‑dressed stranger named Channakeshava arrives and asks to stay in their home for one night. As the tense night unfolds, his presence triggers clashes, hidden desires, and moral dilemmas that expose the family’s desperation, greed, and secrets. The film builds to a shocking climax in which that single tormented night permanently alters the fate of all three lives.
