Plot
Aasha Sundari is a Kannada fantasy drama based on love, friendship, and divine intervention. The story follows Princess Hemavathi, who befriends Harini, a celestial yakshini who has descended to Earth. The two become inseparable and vow never to marry, choosing lifelong friendship instead. Meanwhile, a young prince falls in love with the woman he has seen in his dreams, who turns out to be Hemavathi. With the help of the yaksha Krishna Rao, the prince and Hemavathi gradually fall in love and secretly exchange tokens of affection. Heartbroken and jealous after realizing her friend has chosen love over their promise, Harini curses the prince, causing him to lose his memory and descend into madness. Misunderstandings lead to the prince being accused of wrongdoing, forcing him to flee into the forest while Hemavathi follows him despite her father's opposition. Determined to reunite the lovers, the yaksha helps break Harini's curse. The film culminates in the triumph of true love, forgiveness, and the restoration of peace.
